Precursors

Precursors

That's the ending?! WTF?!
I think I finished the game...? Or did I screw up? I'm on the ruined planet, getting the scientist out of the Imperial lab, and then he says: you need me to find the secret of the Precursors, and then the credits roll.

WTF?

I paid a dollar, and I got my money's worth, but this game sucks. Apart from the broken economics where I made over 6 million credits, the game ended without any kind of conclusive ending. It's like they were planning a sequel that never happened.

And everyone complained about Mass Effect's ending? Pffft. At least that had some kind of ending.

I feel like I've wasted the last 30+ hours of my life.

Also, the 3rd planet and first planet were way too similar. I got bored of all that desert. The jungle planet was nice at least.

This is the real ending and I suspect, that they just couldn't finish the game before time of money ran out! Remnants of two additional unfinished planets can be found hidden in the game files. My guess is that on Limpid in the Zirit system the conference would have supposed to be which the scientist is talking about. And that on Negletik the solution to the problem itself would have been found or activated. I would be very much interested in any info on how the game was supposed to end and how these planets could be restored!

Tbh I like the game so far tho I didn`t leave first planet yet, but seeing this makes me think twice if I should even play more. On the other hand sometimes what matters is journey itself and not its destination. Shame is that whoever brings game to Steam doesn`t even bother to fix it and finish it.

It's a fun game, so it's worth playing, even if it's far from being a finished game.

For me it's not a question of money, but time investment. I was expecting a pay off for having put all that effort in.

I don't know the exact background, but as far as I know the developers DeepShadows broke with the publisher GFI so all the publishers got was the game in the current state with the developers not willing to fix it or finish it.
