Auto Fullscreen... Wrong Resolution....
Game launches just fine, but resolution is way off. Everything is too big and I can only see the upper left of the screen. Can't find a way to access the options menu and shortcuts f11 and alt+enter don't work to turn it to windowed mode so I can do anything about this.

Please help.:steamsad:

Nevermind. Fixed it by going to the steam lauch options for the game and forcing it to launch in windowed mode by using the -windowed command.

hmm.... or maybe not. I can get it to launch in windowed mode, but I can't get the settings to update for the resolution of the game in the options. It seems stuck at 1280x720, even after I change the option to my native resolution and change it back to full screen (while it stays in windowed mode).... Whelp, seems I have to play windowed for now.... If I can... seems a little finicky...

got the same issue, can't even enter windowed mode by using ALT + ENTER.
also can't find any configs to change resolution within game directory.

* Update
Actually resolution doesn't matter. I've done as the OP bringing the game windowed mode by using -windowed command. That way everything looks normal. Went to options, changed to my native monitor resolution (2560x1440). However then exiting the game, removing -windowed flag and launching the game again still bring the same result - the game's left upper corner is stretched across entire screen, making impossible to see menu and everything else.

TAB NOW WORKS TO CYCLE BETWEEN THE MENU BUTTONS!! FIXED IT!!
Necro-Drake Jul 20, 2018 @ 3:36pm
So wasn't able to tab, but I got it to work. Here is what I did:

1. Set Launch options to "-windowed"
2. Launched the game
3. Set it to my computer's native resolution and fullscreen window, then applied and accepted.
-The fullscreen window was important to my computer, because setting it to fullscreen didn't do anything
4. exit and reset launch options to blank.
5. Restart the game
6. If it worked should be in windowed fullscreen with native resolution and you can change it to fullscreen from there if you wish.

Hope this helps others. If not, I'm sorry....

treid that, what i did was go into th eserver menu and press a button on server like select it then i just kept presign tab to cycle throught the actual menu buttons that worked for me nothing else would. should probably just have the game start in windowed mode and make us pick which mode we want lol

Sorry you're having difficulty, we have two potential workarounds for this while we work to fix it.

I don't think it has anything to do with how "crappy" our computers are and does have to do with initial configuration of the application when it was first downloaded. I don't blame the devs on this one and was simply trying to find a work around, which I did, and possibly help others having the same issue.

Communities can work together to find solutions and it is beyond me why you felt the need to berate others for their problems. Thank you for your input however and have a nice day.

Also, thank you Scapes for giving possible solutions to this matter. It is much appreciated. ^_^

Hi I fixed it. At least on mine. Nothing else worked from the fixes that i seen. So i went into Steam/Rend/Properties/local files/browse local files/otherlands/Binaries/Win64
Then here is where i had to change the instructions to make it work. I right clicked on otherlandclient-Win 64-Shipping exe- itself and use the Windows tool to change how the platform opens. I selected properties/combatibility/ then selected the deselct disable display scaling on high DPI setting. and checked Apply. I also went into the Steam propteries on the game and selected the windowed setting. So now when i start the game it all runs normally. Hope this helps.
