How do people play this?
I always forget to remove this game from my wishlist.

The gameplay looks fun. The mech customization looks sick.

But the reality that I will never see another racer's mech, makes my stomach turn and my heart sink.

I wish this was a complete experience and not some weird dot racing sim. Makes me so sad.

Can't wait for Break Arts III to fix this!

Someone convince me to buy it for $4.49 right now...

There's a setting that allows you to see other peoples' mechs in-game, but I would argue it doesn't really add/detract much from the experience tbh.

wtf. that's news to me. very surprising.

I've never seen anyone play with that setting on... so you must be right about the majority.

But seeing them, mechs or breaks the whole game for me. Sorry for that horrid pun.

Did you end up buying it for $4.49? Debating that myself right this very moment.

It looks cool. The story I get from Steam charts is that this will be a single player experience but that experience could still be worth at least five bucks.

I did, and refunded it. All the levels are on flatlands like Mario Kart for SNES. The controls are too sensitive (and bad). The building suite and mecha looks great. But everything else is pretty bad.

The main menu/garage music is totally horrendous.
It's just enjoyable to hop in and make a cool mech.
Break Arts 3 feels promising. The controls are so much better. Menus are still buggy, but everything is a big improvement.
