How to beat the first boss?
Big robot thing, After you put him down to 50% shades start to appear,
They just home in on you and kill in 2 hits, This game has rather slow and stiff controls, How you are supposed to dodge them?

I don't dodge them, I kill them, they die quite quickly.

I'm not sure if they reappear after the stun of the enemy, or if they reappear each time the boss life reach any percentadge, but you can kill them to can focus quietly in dodge the boss attacks.

the one who designed this boss fight shouls be ashamed of himself, Game mechanics are NOT created for such fights,
Axel moves slower than boss so you cant escape, Only reason you dont take dmg is attack animation what allows your narrowly escape, But thats only work if you move,
Attacking this boss only works if you hold attack button ALL the time and keep rolling non stop,

But shooting is inconsistent as well, Sometimes he starts shooting immideatly after roll and you manage to land a hit and dodge again, Sometimes he just stands there for a second before finaly shooting. Another time Axel ignores dodge and just keeps shooting.
Enemy attacks are poorly communicated, Robot hits ground and real hitbox is 2-3 meters away, Looks like he shots magical darts instead of actually hiting you,
All above leads to reciving random dmg despite doin g same thing over and over,

Worst part is the second phase were he summons shades, You can properly change tartgets and shoot as that forces Axel to freeze in one place and get hammered by robot to death, But if you ignore shades for more than 5 second you are dead as they are instantly teleport into you,

Usage of tactical pause helped with targeting but not with unability to move or shoot faster than robot kills you.

SO only way is to play again and again and hope that target switch works properly next time and allows you to kill all shades or that they spawn infront of the robot,

There were far better ways to handle this boss battle even if you insist to switch genre to twitch shooter suddenly.

1. Get rid of robot melee attack, He already has one aoe ranged attack, You could add another one and create pressure on the field. Player would be forced to dodge stuff but without robot standing on your face,
2, Shades should spaw right from the begging of the battle and be main threat,
That would change dynamic of the fight into more resonalbe one that coexist with existing gameplay rather than highlits ist flaws,
Player would dodge annoying robot attacks while dealing with shades and shoot robot from time to time,
Same thing but smoother execution,

nah, the boss is super fine.

just make sure you don't use any medkits before the fight.
good thing you can restart the level from the beginning.

do that and you'll be fine.
