Dev: Question - Why is Fear Effect 3 Inferno canon to this game?

Why is a game that never came out, canon to the offical 3rd Fear Effect game.

So how can anyone play it legally? If it wasn't release, I don't see why that game is canon.

Even if the Inferno is unplayable (well, cancelled) the story might be incorporated to the backstory - maybe it's better to have a canon without a game than a game that we wish wasn't canon ;) Sedna should be still enjoyable even without playing other games from Fear Effect franchise (1,2)

Thank you for responding. Hopfully there will be a port of 1/2 and a finished Inferno for the PC/consoles.

That's not entirely up to us but if there will be any plans in the future we will announce that, thanks for feedback :)
