I am surprised this font made it through QA without anyone writing up issues about it.
Text hasn't bothered me at all (1920X1080 rez). It's in line with most pixelized games that have text, including classic 1990s stuff they seem to emulate. Although maybe that's why Hyper Light Drifter had no text at all.
The only time the text bothers me is on the Adventure Choosing screen, where the font size is mushed into tiny point size. But that's something we look at for just a few seconds.
