I guess were not seeing eye to eye what "lifetime" means.
If I choose to reinstall my windows that should not affect my licence of using the pro features?
It's even the same installation from last windows I'm using when I paid for the product but somehow I've lost pro features and my license is unacceptable.
Not recommended to pay for this if you are the sort that reinstalls their machine often.

bought lifetime upgrade but still says free version :/ loss of money

I tried the free version of Driver Booster 4 and it updated all my drivers and then some!

After updating my drivers with the free version, my computer was much faster and smoother runnning.

I opted to purchase the Pro Version (missed the sale!) and it found more drivers and other items that needed to be updated as well.

The Lifetime updates is a major plus and well worth the cost of this superb software.

One recommendation: After you install Pro, you need to restart your computer for the program to work properly.

Try it, you will love it!!!!!

as others wrote, this isnt lifeetime since i reinstalled steam few times and now can use it anymore.. thats really wierd auth-management system.
i want to get more enries for this accout to use what ive paid for!

My main complaint is that it's not integrated with / using Steam's licensing system, and so you have to manually copy the key into the app using the enter key in lower left corner of the main UI. Because it doesn't follow Steam's usual licensing, there's a separate limit on number of machines, etc.

That having been said, the program is a lot nicer than most programs of this sort. It tends to not false positive a lot, it usually can automatically install the right driver or drivers, and it generally doesn't recommend wrong drivers as some do. It lags behind some of the auto updaters bundled with hardware devices, however it also doesn't result in a million separate update processes running continuously in the tray.

The big thing is because licensing is not integrated, you're going to potentially run into issues if you are using Steam on multiple devices, and then you're also going to have to manually copy the CD code from your library and use the "enter code" button at the bottom of the UI (it's the humorously small button underneath the huge "send us cash" button) to enter the CD key to activate the product. Using Steamworks to tie to the Steam account would likely be nicer.

To be clear on that point -- one of the reasons that I buy games through Steam, GOG and the other download sites is that when I get a new computer or replace an existing computer, those games can follow me without having to fish for install media, registration codes, and who knows what else. I just deactivate Steam on the old machine and activate it on the new, and my software is all there and ready to go. No digging through email for codes, no manually deactivating the over 400 programs I have through Steam's platform. And if I need to, I can just download the app(s) again.

When a given program drifts far from that model, it is annoying when hardware fails or when I have to move to a new machine. In this specific case, since it is an extremely useful program after a mainboard or video swap, it is particularly noticable.

But I still recommend it over all, and the licensing is clearly marked when you make the purchase.

Software refuses to activate after upgrading multiple times to new PCs. False advertising by a scummy developer. Do not buy!

I liked it so much, I bought the company... errr... DLC uograde. ;)

This is a great program to keep your PC up to date and functioning properly. The free version works well but the paid version finds more to update and does it faster. In short, it makes sure your PC is tuned to the max.
