White Gold War in Paradise Unofficial Patch

I noticed there wasn't a thread for the Unoffical Patch and Sound Fix for those of us who want to play the game in English. So here's the proper links, all credit goes to original authors Wesp for Unofficial Patch and DrGast for Sound Fix. Let me know if I've made an error with credits so it can be fixed.

My understanding is to install the Sound Fix, first. Then install the Unofficial Patch next, overwriting any files.

Found a dialog error, in case the Unoffical Patch has an update list.

Enrique Martinez (table at Arturo's store, starter village) is the Faction Fixer, who has dialog about the cost of each fix, being 3500 pesos. The correct amount is 2500 pesos.

The sound effect for Chickens seems to be bugged. It plays about every 5 to 10 seconds. That's super annoying, trust me you don't want to experience it.

There's an underwater chest which did not give 10xp for picking lock. It's directly west of the starting dock. It's next to the sunken boat, the 'Fisherman from the Sunken Boat' (his name) next to the starting dock, who gives you the quest to retrieve 3 sacks.

I don't experience that with the original game, the chickens only cackle if some are nearby.

I wasn't aware you get XP for picking locks also I wouldn't know yet where to fix that.

If you know the name of the file for the Chicken sound effect and the path, please let me know. It's bugged for me, maybe not you.

10 XP afaik, the first chest we pick (sort of tutorial) in the shed/hut on the dock, after the cutscene it talks about getting XP and gives 10 after picking the lock. Lockpicks are on the crate nearby and in some of the free crates around the dock.

What's with the Patches Scrolls? When I click the download link, a white rectangle pops up, but nothing actually happens?

Maybe your antivirus program is blocking the site, some are known to do that...

I went so far as disabling it. All I get is a blank white rectangle that pops up. I'm using Windows Defender in Windows 10. I've also tried disabling my browser's means of blocking sites, and added it to my trusted sites, no dice.

Why not add the Unofficial Patch to somewhere more browser friendly? Awesome that you put it together, but the delivery method needs serious improvement.

I'm using firefox 63.0 up to date atm and the link in the OP leads directly to the file as stated, seriously.

Mine's Nightly and Release 63, also Edge and IE tested - none lead anywhere but a white box.

Guess I wasn't clear, it works fine for me. There must be something with your setup, like a script blocker (noscript or ad block plus). How can I fix a link that works,,,,

So is the russian soundpack just for voices or are several effects such as gunshots missing aswell,if so, is it possible to only install the misssing sounds and not replace the english voices?

Also do I need to install them in a certain order?

I don't remember any missing gunshots on my Russian version.

I would say install the patch on top of the soundpack, just in case...

I was meaning if sound effects are missing from the english version since it's called a Sound Fix and if so can I keep the english voice acting (since I find bad voice acting usually funny).
