Game runs, but hangs on initial loading screen

I really want to play this game, I had no idea there was a sequel to boiling point. Anyway, I got it to actually start, but as soon as the opening videos are finished it goes to a loading screen, and I can't progress any further than that - the game continues going, and I can hear a cutscene where some guys are chatting on the beach, but the image remains the loading screen. I have downloaded the unofficial patch, and I have edited the resolution in the inis (I don't have any inis in users/public/documents/white gold, I edited the inis in the steam directory). Any ideas on what I could do to fix it?

If this is a common issue and you have fixed it in the island files, can you please upload them somewhere, so I can include them into the Unofficial Patch?

At all, it is solved a banal keystroke Esc. I just managed to simulate this situation. You don't have a preload this cutscene.

Yeah if all it took was for me to press the escape key I wouldn't have posted a thread, I didn't think it was necessary to list 'pressed every key' as one of my fix attempts because it is too obvious. You very clearly did not simulate this situation.

That screen, the loading bar at the end, the cutscenes start playing but there is no image, only the loading screen and sound in the background. ESCAPE DOES NOTHING. NO BUTTON DOES ANYTHING. I HAVE TO HALF SHUT MY COMPUTER DOWN JUST TO GET BACK TO THE ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ DESKTOP.

So a guy on discord said I should check out the russian soundpack, which I grabbed from moddb - https://www.moddb.com/games/white-gold-war-in-paradise/addons/xenus-2-white-gold-russian-soundpack-sounds-fix - and now it works, after the opening movies I can choose my difficulty, and then it loads the game and I can play it. Hooray.
