Puyo Puyo Tetris 1 vs Puyo Puyo Tetris 2?

Is there anyone here that's played both that can provide input on which one they prefer and why? These look so similar that I'm hesitant to buy both, but I do love the concept of the games so I'd like to get one.

I think most fun Tetris is Tetris 99 on Switch. I understand some people buy Switch for only the game.

1 is English only. 2 can choose Japanese.

I got disappointed to not able to choose Japanese on 1, I got Switch version on Japanese.

In the Covid period, some Switch title released a little to minor change for 2nd version on Switch. FitBoxing is same and 2 is inferiors on frame rate.
