is there a way to play tetris without it getting faster?

i love this game and have played a bounch of marathon mode but just wish it didn't get so fast so quickly. is there a way you can make it so it never speeds up and i can zone out and play tetris?

I think you could start up a tetris vs puyo offline game and use one of the weakest ais for the opponent and set the chain limit to the highest, this way they wont send garbage and your speed wouldnt increase (use tee, he has quite the weak puyo ai) EDIT: on second thaught, use an harder ai like satan on core ai, otherwise your opponent will top out, shouldnt really matter anyway if he makes larges chains, as the will be below the min chain limit
