Ghost pieces - what is your opinion about it?

Hey,
I've been playing Puyo Puyo Tetris for quite a while (started on PS3). Then got it for PS4, then Switch and now I will also going to get it for PC (I just love this game so much and I want to support a pc port like this one).

I play the local multiplayer very regularly with my friends, but we always turn the "Ghost piece" off (the feature to see where your tetris/puyo pieces fall). We feel like it is too easy with them, however I see it has become the standard to play with them. How do you feel about the ghost piece? Are you used to it or do you prefer the classic way without it?

It's easier for newcomers to play Tetris and help them place their pieces carefully, and offers no real "disadvantage" for more hardcore players or restrain them in any way. I don't see any reason why not. Obviously, having the option to activate it or not is the best.

I'd have prefered if there was a "real" competitive mode when such things were disable though, and force people to rely on their own strenght rather than the game assisting you.

I agree, that's my only gripe about it. There's nothing wrong with the feature itself. It's nice to have the option, especially for newcomers, but I would love to play online against people who have it turned off just like me. That's why I usually only play locally (and because the japanese people kick my butt online haha)
