DAS, ARR, IHS, IRS
Being able to customize DAS and ARR and have the option to turn on IHS and IRS would be fantastic. Hope we can bring this to their attention.

DAS - delayed auto shift. the amount of time it takes for the piece to move left or right when you hold down a key.

ARR - auto repeat rate. The amount of time it takes for the piece to repeat moving in the direction when DAS kicks in.

IHS - initial hold system. allows you to hold the next piece before it spawns.

IRS - initial rotation system. allows you to rotate the next piece before it spawns.

Probably won't happen since it would break the already "questionable" balance.

This would definitely increase the gap in balance between puyo and tetris. As of right now, Tetris has a lot of abilities that already give it a significant advantage over puyo. While puyo may have power, Tetris has pure speed. This would make it even faster, thus making it practically useless to play puyo online.

That's a good point, but then maybe there could be a discussion about changing the amount of garbage certain attacks send from the puyo puyo player. Admittedly I was mainly thinking about improving tetris vs tetris matches.

Have IRS/IHS ever been used in a Guideline game? I think it's one of those things TTC is firmly against for whatever reason.

Mixed versus was a mistake and at this point I think most of us would rather have a way to filter it out than any more attempts at balancing two fundamentally incompatible games. As long as Puyo garbage comes from the top and Tetris garbage comes from the bottom it's just never going to work.

IRS/IHS is used in tetrisfriends. Actually trying to hold before I was able to in PPT is what prompted me to make this thread.
