if you really just wanna edit character textures, all you really need is https://github.com/nickworonekin/tppk-tool and to follow the file finder from the tutorial,
if you soley want the in-match textures:
you'll find 1 and 2 player at data_steam\data\cutin\cutin_2p ,
and for 3 to 4 player you'll find them in data_steam\data\cutin\cutin_4p.
after that just follow the file naming guide also in the tutorial to find the character you wanna edit, ((the one with the biggest texturebox is Zed if you'd prefer that))
if you need further help, join the discord and say its you and ill verify you: https://discordapp.com/invite/7DdjZPk
I'll mess with it some this weekend, by "in match" do you mean the background picture in play areas? Or just all textures/animations in general? Just wondering. Mainly asking because although this Azumanga Daioh mod is awesome, when you lose during a multiplayer game, you end up seeing the original character's lose animation. Is it possible to replace that with just a static image?
and what i meant by in match was soley their animations and fields
