Is there a wiki or similar resource?
Just beat the game and even though I enjoyed it (even got the Lucky Guess achievement!), I seriously don't feel like playing it all over again to see what I missed. Is there any Wikia fan-site or similar where I can just read up on all the details, answers, etc. I didn't get to see?

I did a quick search and found some YouTube videos and text walkthroughs but nothing really documenting the game in detail.

haven't played it myself yet, but did you check the guides section?

Thanks, I forgot to check those but now that I did, they're not what I'm looking for. Like other guides I've found elsewhere, they're just practical guides on how to get everything "right".

I'm looking more for something interested in discussing the characters and things people may not have noticed or thought about. More like a proper wiki, less like a strategy guide.

Hi Tukkek, glad to hear you enjoyed the game! We're not aware of a Wiki, but a while ago Emargy made an interesting series of videos about each character which might help scratch that itch - you can find the Jaya one here which should hopefully lead you to the others:

There's also the TV Tropes page which has a lot of spoilery details ;-)

Thank you very much, I have found the author's playlist and added all the "let's talk" videos to watch later! I found another video with all the endings and that helped a lot as well (even if that particular video confuses "endings" with "reactions" to being called out as the murderer).

I believe I got at least one person to buy the game on the Winter Sale after talking about it :3 (pls gibe me discount for next game k)

Finally, I would be all over it if you and your team released a "making of Dr. Dekker" with funny production stories, inspirations for the characters, how the game was received by the public... Wouldn't need to be any fancy-pants edited video either, a group livestream would be just fine!

Thank you for spreading the word about Doctor Dekker! <3

A "making of" special would be fun to do but it may be a while before we get round to do anything like that. We're working on Dark Nights with Poe and Munro at the moment, then Pocket Dreadfuls, then there's even talk of a Doctor Dekker 2... :-o

We did do a couple of interviews along with some of the actors which contain some behind the scenes snippets... you should be able to find them on Youtube if you search for Doctor Dekker interview. And there's also The Infectious Madness of Doctor Dekker Live that we streamed in March this year... we put that up on Amazon Prime but if you don't have that, you may be able to find a version lurking on Youtube.

Thank you so much for the enthusiasm - it's really great that you still want to spend time in the Dekkerverse after playing!

Hey, can you even think of a better excuse to produce and promote a making-of Dekker 1? :D

I'll look up the resources you named in your reply and would also like to thank you for supporting Linux gaming, I hope TIMoDD2 and your other projects keep doing the same! Kudos and all the best!
Also, one can just check the installed files on the video folders. I copied them to another location and deleted as I watched. Worked for both Dekker and Shapeshifting Detective. Was able to watch every video sequence.

Long before reaching the end, I was already at the conclusion that far more relevant than the duration of the video footage (it earned the Dekker game a place in the Guiness), is the quality of both the writing, directing and interpretation.

I mean, anyone can shoot a long movie sequence just for the sake of it being long. But these games offer real quality in terms of narrative and character development. And most shockingly, without the actors coming together for most of the time. And it wasn't just some fortunate accident. The creators were able to pull this off twice.

So many hours of footage in the same stage and we still crave for more from these characters. It took a very particular kind of cleverness from the developers to somehow present a game that takes place on the same stage without ever getting boring. On the contrary, as the plot thickens, the anxiety just escalates.

Rare to see so much ingenuity akin to the first Cube movie. No wonder they are revitalizing the interactive FMV genre.
