It could be legit, but chances are it's just like any other adware client that claims to "cleans & boosts the performance of your pc".
There's really only one real Driver you need to update and thats your GPU Driver. Because if all other drivers are working normally, why bother risking an update to one which may break something you'll notice.
You pay for this software, if not with money then with your personal information. I wouldn't call it scam. I would call it "an obviously reason to not click on download button".
Nowdays Microsoft Windows already includes 90% of the drivers. Rest is your graphic card. Those drivers it does not include you easily grab from the vendors website of your motherboard.
I mean literally every hardware you buy is plug&play. 10 Years ago it wasn't and searching for drivers was annoying. But again, this time it is not really necessary.
I don't want to risk having to reinstall everything again on my computer, I used to do that all day when I was young and had the time to spare testing all kinds of stuff.
Now I have obligations and I'd like to have my spare time with my loved ones not fixing machines.
That's why I "rely" on reviews.
Now there is an unknown device in my device manager that points to a 3.0 USB in the properties of the device.
Not only that, DB4 now reports there are 3 errors on devices, but SURPRISE! I can only fix them in Driver Booster if I pay for the Pro version.
So, firstly the program screws up your PC for free and then it asks you money for repairing what it previously ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up. Congratulations, Steam for allowing this...
(I will write this same message in a new separate thread).
