What do you mean? Like weapon demonstration? That hasn't been in the game since 3.

Exhibition Theatre was mostly a tech demo back when motion capture in video games was a relatively new concept.

Kinda wish it was still a thing, so as to have custom characters perform kata.

Yeah, Exhibition Theater did make for an excellent tech spectacle to attract people to arcade cabinets when those were on stand by back in the day, it also looked really cool when displayed in video game stores.
This days SoulCalibur is no longer in arcades while physical media offline video game stores are mostly dead, so the point of having Exhibition Theater feature is heavily diminished. Also two main cool things about it were animations themselves and the ability to view character models from up close, the latter benefit being completely absorbed by Create a Soul feature in modern times.
So all things consider it is understandable why we don't have Exhibition Theater in SC games any more.

I still miss it, as it was cool to watch, like having a personal martial arts demonstration.

Yeah but it is not going to cost them a fortune right. I guess it is just a cost cutting measure by Bandai to save a few bucks.

Many other modes was removed, survival, team battle. I also miss when every character had own stage and theme and you could listen to every dialogue in character profile.

Man SCVI is my entry to the series so I have no bearing on how much the previous games had! Looks like this version is an extremely watered down version compared to previous entries in the series.

I guess even when you consider cut content, one could say that SCVI is the best of the series considering the roster and overall game balance. Also, it doesn't eat up 80 gigabytes like Tekken 7

Well the series has been watered down from 4 onwards where content is concerned. Though depending on what you get into it for determines how much this affects you. It seems to have the following audience types:

1. Fighting game fans
2. Custom creation fans
3. Mission/quest mode fans

something has been stripped from each of those aspects, and some more than others.

SC6 has the biggest and most varied Mission/Quest Modes in the entire series though.

I can can agree that its size is considerable, but the I'm not so sure about the variety. There's a lot of repetition in the mission types, and of these types, they seem to have less of the ones that appeared in say SC1 and 2 (sinking floor, poison, exploding rats, invisible weapon) and mostly conventional battle with specific damage modifications (highs take more, kicks take more, only a CE can win).

Instead of building on what's gone before, it seems to have regressed to the core elements, and thrown in a load more static text and screens, with a basic stats modifier system in the background.

I enjoy the lore a lot, and like that it's so fleshed out in Libra, but that credit goes more to whoever was assigned the task of writing it. The content seems sparse to me.

Absolutely agree. I like to have a long story mode and lesser stories for each characters, and the fact that all of it connects perfectly. It may have around 40 hours of play to get the true ending of the libra mode and the specific ending for every character. But it wasn't perfect.

However, then you have a quite decent creation mode, arcade, a huge soundtrack you can hear at any time, a huge library full of info and interesting data... If you have into account that the main mode for any fighting game is the online vs, then you have to admit that SC6 is the biggest Soul calibur game.

...but even then, I miss some features. I miss the effects of the weapons from Soul Calibur 2 (my favorite one, SC3 is probably better but 2 was very special for me), and yeah, I miss the theatre. I remember the 13 years old me thinking how amazing was the dancing of Talim or the speed of Raphael. Some of the characters had even greetings, farewells or other comments during the action. It was full of personality and it was obvious that the developers had a lot of love for the characters, they put so much effort with every detail...

By the way. Now that I think about sc2, I just realised something. Don't you guys think that the girls used to wear much less clothes back then? XD, maybe it changed slowly with each game and I didn't notice.

As I recall, Exhibitions haven't changed at all since the first Soul Calibur.... the only thing that changed was a few camera angles, and some of the Lizardman sequences (for humor's sake).

Soul Calibur III probably has the best demonstration of them all because it actually featured some of the new characters like Tira and Zasalamel.

Other than those, Soul Calibur IV was only unique as far as Critical Finishes are concerned.

That's a good point. For me I battered the hell out of it in SC1, but didn't watch subsequent ones except for new characters that interested me (hi Setsuka!).
