I’ve never played a Soul Calibur before.
Yeah, I’m good.
Bamco has been funny recently I see.
It will be complete. And no micro transactions.
Yeah, shorter combo compared from Tekken.
One side step can avoid virtical attack in many cases.
Low, mid, high are same as other 3D games including Tekken.
Guard button is common to DOA and VF, but different from Tekken.
Tekken's guard is more similar to Street Fightger.
Here's some customizations

Tekken Combos do NOT translate at all. Tekken is very linear and juggle heavy. Soul Calibur 6 has much shorter combos by comparison, and combo routes let you slap your opponent left and right for wallspats and ring outs, or reposition yourself.
Hit confirms are a thing, kind of. Technically, any 'combo starter' move is always unsafe, but with avenues to make it safe against one type of attack or another. Most of the moves are checks, and a lot of combos only work if the initial hit is a counter hit.
It only resembles Tekken in visuals and has some shared history. It plays more similarly to something like DoA, but even then, it's not like that either.
There is a story. It's not bad, especially considering whatever the ♥♥♥♥ happened with SC4 and SC5.
There are micro-transactions. DLC characters, and clothing for dolling up your characters.
The customization is good, but being a budget SC, it ended up with less options than SC5, but SC5 was genuinely hours and hours lost in the wardrobe, so SC6 is still up there.
Races is a new thing to SC6, and it was promising, but we didn't even get Lizardman as a playable character, and the monster races can't equip most of the clothing anyway, so it ended up not being that exciting sadly.
Face's can't be deeply customised, though, which is a bit dumb.
But, other than that, yeah, I've spent hours on customisation.
Aww rip, that sucks man. I just went and got each one as they released because I love Soul Calibur, so I didn't even realise that's how they were selling it. More dumb business choices from Bamco.
Sadly this game was not well designed with new players in mind. And 6 years later it certainly hasn't become any more newbie friendly. Much less if anything.
This game is clearly not for you. So save your money. Because if you buy this you'd only be flushing your money down the toilet.
This game is for existing fans of the franchise (and even many of those are disappointed with the new mechanics and how overly-technical it is).
Sad, but that's the truth.
A better story mode or simple CG scene makes a big change
