Is there any merit to the lesbian barbarian DLC leak?

I was browsing gamefaqs today and noticed them talking about an old leak about a, and I quote "lesbian barbarian" who would either have a new style or be a replacement for Rock.

I've heard about this back before the game came out, from Vergeben the famed leaker. Did this character get debunked? Or is she possible still?

I think that rumor is just a rumor started by Vergeben (given some leaks were to the point I think Namco considered such a character), and now only kept alive by certain users at 8wayrun.

It all started with Vergeben claiming there was a concept of a big muscular woman character that Project Soul wanted to add into SC6 but had to cut due to time and money constraints. Some people then though said character might still return as DLC. Then the majority of other Vergeben leaks were proven wrong (he basically only was definitively right about Groh).
The lesbian part has been added later by 8wayrun posters as a funny meme.

Only the uneducated homophobics will even care about this. I hate to break it to some of those people but; This is a video game, the characters are digitally created with some having human likenesses. They are not real and by that have no type of sexual preference. They don't love they don't have intercourse without the pervy kind making a poorly made reconstruction of those characters doing so and they don't care if someone gives them a SJ label. These characters are an expression of art by a design team. Sure there can be intent to provide a personality that in the real world would fit a stereotypical homosexual person. But that is just another expression of that art. People who know any fitting into the alphabet group of non sis persons know that they come in all different types. Having bulk on a female does not make her automatically homosexual. I have personally known a power lifting straight married couple. Bulky muscular women exist in the straight world too. Just like petite effeminate men can be straight.

But I digress, the point in my wall of text is that these "people" we use as avatars to fight each other with are not real and by that have no sexual preferences at all.

So I didn't realize this topic would start a gamefaqs bashfest I just look at the messageboards for tips/info and noticed for a long period of time one guy would shout over and over that "A newcomer is obviously coming and I think its a lesbian barbarian" and now I noticed that this character was no longer being talked about so just wanted some clarification!

Some people in this topic are saying its a site for "30 year olds crying about LGBT stuff".

I was just trying to start a discussion about this fabled "leaked character" to see she was a legit cut character or a fake rumor.

Japanise developers tent to not advertise the characters sexualaty unless its a dating sim.
At best you can get a character who shows sings of being gay or trans or similar but unlike western developers you won't get a youtube interview over how the devloper is proud they made a gay character in the game.

Sounds like BS. Japan doesnt do the whole virtue signal stuff that the west does.

Lesbian muscular punch girl is right in my strike zone so I'll welcome her with open arms and maybe other opened things as well

But seriously, Rock is a pretty boring character, so if they have an idea to fill the barbarian slot with a more interesting design and concept, I'm all for it. The game needs more newcomer alongside the oldies on its DLC plans. Season 1 was mostly "characters that we wanted to put into the game but ran out of time" collection, so hopefully Season 2 will have more new original characters. Guests are cool but let's see some new faces, Namco

Anyway, back to bashing gameFAQs. If I were given a choice to jump onto a pile of used syringes in an area with high COVID infection rate or go on gameFAQS when the character is revealed to be real.... I'll choose the latter, but it would be a very close choice.

Haohmaru is the sole newcomer for season 2. Setsuka and Hwang are the remaining characters for S2
