I don't think it's too early. You might be right, of course. But Soulcalibur is different than Tekken, and appease to different players. Like me, for example. Right now T8 is too expensive and I have only one character I would play. For Soulcalibur, there is Taki, and she is like 90% (won't say 100%
Don't know. For me it seems like a good opportunity to release (even though strong announcement would suffice).
Every SC game since has been a low budget and low effort cash grab.
