If you are not afraid of visual novel-like story presentation, then absolutely yes, it is worth it. There are tons of single-player content.

All text and artwork, so if you like visual novels between mundane fights. I love the series as a whole, but the single player mode isn't my thing and PC doesn't have a strong player-base (in my region at least). The fighting mechanics, and character customization are great though. I wish the devs played around with the customs a bit more (adding more content). If you're a big SC fan, then it's worth playing while we wait for the next one to come out. My personal biggest issue was making Cassandra dlc, she was my main since I was a kid playing on ps2. Second main was Sieg, and he doesnt even get his Soul Calibur (story is a reboot of the series, he gets it at the end I think).

I do still really enjoy playing the game, and just wish the single and online play would be a bit better. I'm not into visual novel campaigns.

The story is terrible imo. It's a convoluted mess.
It's time they rebooted it instead of continuing to add more ridiculousness to it and making it even worse.

I personally enjoyed a lot for character creation and have been play online almost every day still. There are 2 large single player contents other than character creation.

If you are interested in complete achivement, this game is consierbly easier than other fighting games. For that you'll need have 5 win on each ranked and casual match. And (only) 50 times online battle.

Well it does have plenty of single player content. It's not very interesting if you ask me but it is there.

The dlc stories are great.
Everything else feels half assed.

What I really like about the Versus CPU mode, is that if you set it for random opponent, and random stage, then you can select next match and it will pick a random opponent and stage every single time after each match.

Also the character creator is really good!

It's terrible. Not worth it if you want something grand. However, if I were being fair: Aval Organization plotline > the stories of almost everyone in the base roster and the mainline story. It will never be SCII and SCIII-tier of awesome

The story is mid, because its a fighting game, not a story game. Despite that, though, they've seemed to invested a lot of screen time to the story, anyway. I don't know why they thought they needed all this talking and exposition between fights, I could do with shorter and quicker paced story telling so I can get to the fighting, I don't remember it being like this in the other Souls games I played and they were all pretty single player friendly. SC 3's Cronicles of the Sword will always be the best. But yeah, there's a lot of it, just broken up by inordinate amounts of talking in between

The story can depend for some people. Personally I think the SC universe is awesome and full of cool things.
I started with VI and did not expect to get so incredibly attached to Amy and Raphael's story, they have become my most favorite characters ever.
Your mileage may vary but I'd say its definitely worth a shot if the concept and universe piques your interest.
It's a fighting game.
So no.

Yes. This game has lots of single player content. Definitely worth it.

SC2 single player content was thiner than SC6. SC3 is unmatched but SC6 comes close
