I see. 2025 would be good.
May be annoucement in 2025 and release in 2026.
I still wonder if Geralt would've even been in the game if SCVI had a bigger budget. He was likely the least expensive character they could get as a guest considering at the time of SCVI's release, Bandai Namco had a multi-game publishing deal with CD Projekt Red that included physical editions of The Witcher 2 and 3, along with Cyberpunk 2077.
Hell, he was definitely not the guest announcement that everyone wanted. That title would've gone to 2B. The fact that "cute girl stomp dirty old man" is a thing makes me question whether Geralt should've even been added in the first place. In fact, SCVI not having a guest on launch wouldn't look too different from the game we have now if i'm being perfectly honest.
In that same regard I have to say Negan would have to be the worst guest character off the top of my head. I have to imagine there would be minimal overlap between a person who enjoys a tv zombie drama and a martial art fighting game.
As dumb as this sounds, they could've possibly featured a character from For Honor, a Ubisoft title. Soul Calibur has worked with Ubisoft in the past if I remember correctly and some of the characters from For Honor would've fit perfectly I think.
Depends on how popular FH was at the time. Though I heard Warden in Showdown was positively received.
