What do you think of Soulcalibur VI guest characters?

Honestly, the bigger shark jump for me is the story being so exclusively about Sigfriend and Nightmare by SC3, that in SC4 the only logical story beat they could follow through with was have them both become glowing demigods of fire and ice. Every other character becomes essentially a footnote in some lame grand battle for the universe, instead of it being a cheap-but-fun story in service to cool fighting styles of history where the practitioners all fight over who deserves the ultimate weapon

Didn't their becoming a Demigod also turned Siegfried and Nightmare into one of three possible final bossed too?

They're fine.
2B is weird tonally, but so were the Star Wars dudes so that's nothing new. Geralt is great, and ironically - being a guest character - feels the most like classic Calibur in the whole game.

Fair that was a pretty silly question, for whatever reason I was thinking you might have been talking about a previous game.

I don't think "male guest character" is an archetype. I should review the definition of archetype.
