I think I used it to give myself 9,999,999 gold and sp... lol overkill but it saved me from grinding away for nothing.

Well... the gold can disappear quickly if you fail enough expeditions.. just don't fail'em and I think you'll be fine. Having that much gold will also allow you to travel farther off the beaten path as well.

Lol.. yeah. I didn't realize it at first, but whenever you travel to a point not on the trail, you pay an expedition fee; win or lose your fights, you still paid the fee. The approach that worked for me was moving to a point on the trail closest to the expedition target and then starting your expedition from there.. it'll save you some gold.

So not only do you have to pay real money multiple times, the gold can also be wasted on consumables or on nothing if you lose great......

Ah, the gold isn't real money. It's the in-game currency for Libra of Soul mode. After a certain point you can trade certain amounts of it for SP, but you might not want to do that until a while after you unlock that option. Unless you grind a lot or fudge the numbers.

But I also feel nervous about using it. I heard you get banned in some games even if Cheat Engine isn't running, but you have it installed.

It's only if it's actually called "Cheat Engine" if you rename it, it won't detect the program.

They really named Cheat Engine in quite a unfortunate way, considering it's uses are far more than just cheating.
