It bears repeating: Soulcalibur 6 had neither the care, the budget, and the development it needed. It is barebones in some aspect, but the devs focused on what mattered: the core gameplay. And really, it's objectively the best it has ever been. It's not the Soulcalibur we deserve, but it's the one we need right now.
I also want more Soul Edge and Soul Calibur weapons so that everyone can equip them, like SCII used to do.
Sieg and Nightmare had "Final Form" weapons that glowed real nice to boot. Those were cool.
Maybe it's easier to play against offline, but i don't know. Who plays offline save for esports players anyway? I think everything else is pretty good. Well, Tira and Taki are a pretty hard to play as against people that know their strings.
SCIV Zasalamel was a boss cahracter though, he had some oppresive combos back then.
P.S. I would mention Lizardman too, but SCV Aeon is better.
And loved how V evolved the gamplay and good netcode but hated the fact most of the roster got replaced.
Personaly i think Namco shuld legit re relese V.
As much as some people dislike its diferent enough from VI that its basicly its own game and not jsut a less comlex iteration of VI.
If they put him in SCVI, who knows how powerful he'd be!
As for Amy, she was basically a clone of Raphael mostly until she became Viola.
Hwang was... I dunno, he was too much of a Xianghua clone if ask me.
Setsuka/Alpha Patrokolos was meh, okay I guess.
Cassandra was basically Pat's and Pyrrha's aunt in SCV, so she was an old lady by then, methinks.
Again, I liked IV, but not even I'm going to pretend like it was the high point of the series' popularity. Even when it was still relatively new, people were talking about going back to SCII and a few crazy misguided inviduals wanting to go back to SCIII. There are people who like it, such as myself, but we're distinctly in the minority on this one.
So, yeah, I call ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ on people seriously wanting to go back to IV (... or III ... or V ... SC really hasn't hit a home run in forever.)
I am effectively Raphiel IRL.
