Geralt is a all arounder, you have to use your characters strengths against him. Although geralt is better at range so if you're a character who's good at both spacing and rush down, you wanna rush him down.

Your AA is i12 and your 6B and 66B is insanely fast for it's range. Azwel doesn't have a speed or range problem.

I used him for the first time today and won with button mashing (it was not an honorable win), against a very good Taki player who usually beats my main I might add. People complain about Nightmare but Geralt definitely has some cheapness to him

The only advice I have - use more onblockable attacks coz Gerald needs meter and have his own strong counter.

Keep an eye if he ducks all of a sudden. Its a time spell trap and it has an hour glass icon on it. Block the fire balls then counter attack. His normal attacks has a mixup of horizontal and vertical slashes on a 3 hit combo. Making it nearly impossible to sidestep B. He also has an Unblockable fire spell. Most of the Geralt users I ve encountered so far are reliant on RE spam so careful with any attack you make. Delay them if you have too.

Make Liberal use of your soul charge cuz you are gonna need to possidon tide his ass or if you feel generous, sidestep B to obsidian drop. Also if the match has frame drops, lag spikes, or its a slide show on A 4+BAR CONNECTION FILTER! Good luck you are gonna need it. T_T

What character do you play? I main Geralt.

He's a character with good reach, speed, and damage, but a lot of his moves are pretty negative. He is very meter reliant as well so rushing him down before he has meter and being aware of his RE (which builds meter, even if you win the rock/paper/scissors match) is important ot the matchup in the long term.

I try to play a lot of classes cuz I love to make characters from other games. I try not to play as spammer because that's really feels bad for your enemy...
So I usually play Astaroth and Sophitia. Sophitia is spammer, but I love this class for design and animations. My bad

Take him into training mode and look at 1B, 3B, 66BB, and 33BB. Geralt likes to do these moves a lot and if you block them, they are all punishable by Sophie's 236B. If you don't know how to do that move, practice the just frame version, it's important for Sophie.

Geralt is good at catching step so unless you're trying to get away from being stuck at the wall, you probably shouldn't sidestep much. Use your lows, mids, and AA to annoy him and then block his counter attack, you can stab back at a lot of his moves for free.
