Censored character names?

Lately I've noticed a lot of CaS names have been censored and replaced by stars. Any reason for this? Like, names containing curse words I guess I can understand, but I've seen names that I know from past encounters are just some made up names that has suddenly been censored.

I've seen box letters and stuff, normally that indicates it's an unrecognizable letter or font from another language such as Chinese or something. If the name changes to a random name you didn't insert, chances are you just forgot to press the enter button on the character name section of the creation. I don't know how many times I customized on a controller, pressed Start, thinking it saved the name, only to get in a match and for my creation to be named Lydia or something..

this is weird ♥♥♥♥. i dont use CaS often but i was using one in a lobby and my friend told me its all asterisks. theres nothing offensive in the name. it was fine before. anyone got any details on this?

the character's name is NIGHTMARIE. i can't imagine why that would be censored out

They get at english alphabet racial slurs now, even when it's just a sequence of letters in a larger word
