How does moves for custom characters work?
This will be my first SC game, so I was curious to know how the move drafting works for custom characters.

If this is your concern, I gotta recommend SCIII instead. 4-6 custom characters all use fighting styles from the main roster, but SCIII was more focused on individual fighting styles based on a sort of class system. However, sheer customization has improved since then, and you are able to finetune your aesthetics in a way you aren't able to in previous games.

Concern? Where did I show concern in my post? I am just curious to know how it works.

The main roster characters were all a pain in your first Chronicles run. I enjoyed the format of the missions, though, and it was a great way to unlock as much as possible in a short amount of time (concerning custom fighter content)
You just choose which Soul you want to emulate. I'm unsure of balance, for example you can take Astaroth's moveset and place it on a character who's as tall as Talim. All chars. except Inferno can be emulated. Even the DLC and guest ones.

I meant if that's what you wanted most out of the custom characters.

To actually answer OP's question (lol), the movesets for custom characters are the same as the base roster, just copied over to your character. So let's say if you wanted to make a character that played like Raphael, they will play exactly like him.

When and where did they say this? Because it has never been the case before for atleast guest characters, couldn't make my jedi and couldn't make my assassin characters... still salty
