A question about Season Passes

How do season passes work in this game? Is it basically just a bundle of DLC, or is it like RDR2 where you have to grind to unlock things even after you purchase the season pass? Related, how do past season passes work compared to "current" passes?

ps - I definitely will not pay full price for a season pass. I'm patient, I can wait for them to go on sale.

It's basically just a bundle of DLC. There's really no difference between 1 and 2 outside of course the content they offer. Singular DLC is a little bit cheaper than the bundle, but the bundle offers a ton of music too.

Each season pass has characters and some parts for creation, IMO it's only worth getting them if you're into character creation otherwise the parts are pretty useless to you. The characters also come with parts as well in addition to their style.

Season Pass 2 is REQUIRED is you want the music that comes with it, season pass 1 is NOT. Each CaS DLC in the first pass has a bit of the music , you can buy all season pass 1 content separately and miss nothing, but the Season pass is slightly cheaper.

There's no grinding at all, you will recieve everything immediately, you don't even have to reboot the game.

Like the others said, don't buy the costumes DLCs if you're not interested in costumizing your character outfits or making a new one, they're not very valuable even at a discount, because you can't really see the whole content inside of them. You're basically gonna end up paying the same price of a discounted character, just for a pair of trousers and a t-shirt
(I know I did). Yes, we're talking small change, but...

Hwang comes with a soundtrack, Shadowy Judgment, which you'll need to complete his Soul Chronicle to unlock.

But I think everything else unlocks at once.

No those two include everything, it is possible for a season 3 to come out but no info on that right now.
