According to me the weakness of this SoulCalibur is in terms of game modes, we need more. What do you do after solo content? Only casual lobbies or ranked? Yeah possibilities are kinda low haha. So I get what you mean, still it's encouraging that this SoulCalibur is the one closest to the 3rd one in terms of content.
That said, never had the characters been given such fleshed out stories, and Libra of Souls isn't actually all that different from SCII Weapon Master or SCIII Chronicles of Swords, even as regards gameplay hours. It's just not as varied in the challenges it presents and also not as engaging because there's very little to unlock.
Here I'm puzzled. Which other fighting games? MK11 and possibly Guilty Gear games excluded, I'd argue other fighting games' single player offerings are even worse.
I mean arcade bosses? arcade ending? combo challenges? Trials?
I was really surprised when I played arcade with no bosses or ending. I want at the very least the standard stuff, which is surprisingly missing here for no reason.
Yes, those would be nice to have on SCVI. But again which current fighting games actually have them?
Tekken 7? Not really!
DB FighterZ? The weakest single player offering of the bunch.
SFV? Partly, but only after countless updates.
dying? he pretty much died a few years ago because of lazyness and very bad lead. Now they are trying to come back reimagining everything andtrying to appeal to a new crowd.
Its not really appealing to a lot of people overall due to low quality issues, even if the gameplay is actually decent.
