Also sc is the better game
I personally like SC better, but both are good.
T7 is indeed more populated and recently got improved netcode. Online for SCVI is still healthy though, only some times on ranked you'll get matched with people of a very different rank.
SCVI has more single player contents and a character creator.
I'm drop out of Tekken as I could not do back steps. But after I switched from lever to hitbox, probably I can.
I found myself later, I don't like fist fighting game so much. Especially I don't like to see male hits female. But female hits male/female is ok for me. So I use only female characters.
SC6 is weapon battle and has distance. I've also grown up with Japanese anime and comic. Most of anime and comic character use weapon. SC6's character creation is fun for me to recreate these character in game.
SC6 was first version for me. I did not have any favorite character. But I played Nier Automata. I liked the game but did not like the story. 2B seems happier in SC6, so I'm keep using 2B.
It's not many, but it's not bad. Many fighting games has less.
Power Ranger: Battle for the Grid has 16 right now, 24 is 24-hour peak. And it's the game with rollback netcode and crossplay between platforms. It's painful to realise that games with better netcode are in fact least played games in the fighting genre.
Unlike tekken, this game has a variety of defensive options to deal with pressure, easy movement and shorter combos. Tekken will get you very frustrated, playing tekken is like taking an exam in tekken knowledge, you will get destroyed by the most annoying strings unless you lab the game extensively.
So I tried and regret (I cannot remove game from achievement list).
It's nothing similar to SC6 or T7.
So I understand if someone like it, the person would not choose SC6 or T7.

So yea, I like that game and I like, with all shortcomings, SCVI.
