SFV is definitely a more active game that has more players. It also has a somwhat steep lerning cruve if you never played a fighter before as its tutorials are pure garbige but the skill celing is not super high.
SCVI has more single player content and its much easier to get in to if you never playd a fitgher before as it has decent tutorials but much harder to get trully good at. And the player base is a lot lower online than in SFV as it has no corss play so expect more people who will destroy you online.
SCVI is more like tekken with longer ranges and more 3d movement.
SFV is just your standard 2d figter as its basicly the standard for non anime airdash 2d figthers.
You can also get tekken 7 if you dotn have it its much more active than SCVI but is also somewhat harder to play. Personaly i prefer SCVI but i like to keep on open mind.
