Hilde, is it just me.....

I don't know how I feel about Hilde. I am happy those that cried and whined got their character and that people are enjoying her. But it is feeling a lot like HildeCalibur, add that to the fact that I am terrible when using her and that I can't seem to find a groove to play against her I am feeling a little put off as of late.

I am happy the series is still alive and that there is still content SLOWLY coming in. But with each new character that comes it seems a ridiculous level of bullsh*t is coming too.

2B was a grind to get used to, People Hated and likely still do hate Amy, Cass is borderline broken and now we have Hilde who I have to say honestly is a step or two worse than Cass. There seems to be no reason to play any other character anymore. With her you seem to have all the range and close up and footsies and unblockables in short time. She seems to be the perfect character.

My problem is that outside of playing Amy and occasionally Cass offline these new characters seem to be coming in harder and harder to deal with if you are not using them too. For those like me that main characters from the original roster it seems we don't have much of a chance in this regard.

So back to title, Is it just me....

Yeah, Hilde's range is deceptive because she only got verticals with her lance. Just step and she can't hit you with it.

Yeah kinda. The DLC charrs are all over the place tier wise and while hilde is deffinitelly strong, its a bit early to say for sure, lets look at top 8's once offline tournaments are back and see how she performs, that beeing said, i can't immagine hilde beeing stronger then Amy Raph Zas Azwel Sophitia or mina, the base roster is actually still full of monsters. It could be that you just got used to the base roster BS and overvalue what cass and hilde have in store.

She's a strong contender for the best horrizontalls in the game tho

I keep forgetting Hilde is even in the game tbh. Almost never run into her.

Last handfull of times I played online she is about all I have seen. And I see why, she is very easy to win with if someone knows a little about her. I suppose she will be like the rest that just take some practice.

I did go back and return to Amy as someone to lab with and found that Amy's momentum is enough to offset the range and speed of hilde. Guess I am back to Amy for a time now. Oh well I like her well enough.
