Low population of players
This game is dead as hell on Steam, hardly 500 players online worldwide at a time. I really hope it wouldn't die out this fast.

Oh, the daily "this game is dead" thread...
Ok, ok, got it. I heard you loud and clear the first time already.
500 players is decent for a fighting game on PC.

Game is far from dead. Good luck finding someone your skill level if you haven't been spamming this game though. :lunar2019madpig::lunar2019shockedpig::steamsalty:

Keep in mind how many players Tekken 7 has, well over 3000. And Street Fighter 5 has currently got about 2000. Soul Calibur 6 has probably a tenth of those numbers. Calling 500 a decent amount is kinda silly when you take its competition into consideration.

Not gonna lie, if there's one thing the SC community is good for, it's writing essays.

Tekken is a MUCH bigger title and has a huge korean player base. And street fighter 5 is another legacy series. SC is niche even among fighters. 500 is still VERY good for fighting games on steam, seeing as only a handful of games break that.

But there must be something good about those games if they can maintain those numbers, right? Hence why they're popular. Usually, a game is popular because it is good. Sure, some games are an exception, but overall, popular does equal better.

And again comparing 2D games of footsies and constant supers on a straight line to 3D game of dodge the polygons with X and Y is stupid.

I get there is no dividing intellect for the words "Plane and Field" but you have to understand despite the dimension of fighting; fighting games as a whole its not one lumped genre its just a niche market based on types of mechanics in either 2D or 3D.

Please use some processing on how simple a movelist of 20 moves vs a movelist of 120 moves can complex the playerbase interests. Is SFV simple? Yes as far as mechanics; the complexity is much like one finger death punch "the more simple the buttons and requirements to win, the more complex the environment\gimmick's can be"
And SC6 is not as simple as say SFV in what is required to win, where SC6 has comparatively became overbearing to the SC player base with new broken mechanics and unspoken requirements to defeat each specific style. In SCV you hit opponent and you dodge or block . In SCVI you have to know what to dodge, and when to block the first string with some characters.

You have to know who is better for spacing and when is it a safe combo to get close. It simply is becoming more like tekken with juggles and air combos, and seeing as this is a reboot of the SC series it has turned off many players. Eventually the game will normalize to 700 but first the games like MK JF and DOA.

There isn't much story aside MK and that seems to be a reboot of MK 4-5 since lets face it MK4 MK gold was a running meme each 3D installment was all about bloody popcorn gore.

JF is more for the boys and nostalgia which will wear off
DOA is hand to hand fast paced and if the netcode is still trash will float the SCVI around summer

We have infinite replayability with CAS.
But RP gamers wont care if there is no in game chat to meet and greet, which was what kept SCV a float for 3 years+; the casual, the hardcore, and the ranked.

The casual being the RP'ers CAS fanatics and the RPG gamers and just the passer by social players wanting a quick no frills match. The Hardcore being the casual KOTH online, and the Rankers in ranked.

And due to that ranked was dead pretty quick in 2 1\2 years, while the collosio was the nexus and node of the series longevity from 2012-2015 till the annoying server maintenance which lasted 2 weeks before. And also the christmas hacking of sony in 2013.

I can understand the growing reasons\concerns behind not having a server system, but it would revitalize the game.

People could ask and communicate how to play in the game itself; not guess and watch video's to learn a game that takes a near mastery curve on rank c which is insane.

Dude, ya need to stop. Read a book, call your mother - she misses you - hell, write a book. I think you've spent too much time here. How about ya just take a break and let the rest of us do our thing?

Pardon me you ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, but some of us don't take but 5-15 minutes to reply these so called long statements.
I have made plenty of things https://www.deviantart.com/sown-laughter/gallery/?catpath=%2Fliterature that would take most people weeks to figure or design as far as rawfractals and music https://www.loudly.com/tracks/f515e537-3824-11e9-99f7-064f3e9f608e
and that track was in 1 hour and 45 min.

And I don't need some slack jaw asshat building assumptions on what the **** I should be doing just because you feel like picking on my use of time.
I am the wrong person to obsess on if you are looking to call me out on

And If it dwarfs your tiny brain on how some one can reply such long remarks and observations in short times, with lots of information and opinion's, then perhaps you need to remove yourself from things like the retarded child of social media being twitter, and learn how people actually express their ideals in something more than 500 character limit.

Which from your lack of tact being an example seems to become the txt version of culling the intelligent masses into an full on idocracy, as you are jock-like rude brash and slow. You can't even read 1000 words with out losing attention,.and if you said that crap to my face you would be lucky to keep your jaw line and lower teeth.

You want social issues I can give you just as much crap bub.
You want A fight? then you have to set some things up, I am not hard to locate from my profile stating my name which from the links i provided.
I use the moniker everywhere. but your stepping on a NON keyboard warrior. You keep your opinions on the post you ♥♥♥♥ wad.

you start stepping on me and ill back ground check you fast and expose you as deep as meridia's web.

You are trolling and bullying the WRONG Psycho back away.

Navy Seal Copypasta Part 2. Also, at first I thought you were pretty cool and knowledgeable, but now you just seem like a stuck up child with the way you referred to your own work. Being rude to people doesn't make your arguement valid, and empty threats like the ones you make are nothing new. What would you even have to expose me with? I'm a pretty boring dude, in all honesty.

You are not the kind of person you act to be.
You have a deeper malice about you.
its in your text not sure if intended or not .
but you have no reason to act like some Paragon on what people do or not Do with their time.
" or at the least what I do with my time as thats MY time"

It is off topic and you are pushing right at me, if you were criticising "My post" and not How i use my time directing my personal life.
then I would not Take it so Obviously personal,
as I don't know you and now due to your sense of mind and manners .
Don't, like, you.

Your a sarcastic annoyance that saw My post and went on at My post in a personal manner for no other reason aside it struck you as offense.

why would I see it any other way? You didn't take a second to see I do, you didn't ask me squat as to why?
I Write a lot in many posts in many places.
I do Critique here but I write as a hobby.
You did nothing to find out anything about me; but date talk down to me as if you are anything to me.
You singled me out and I decided to warn you in every known level.

Again Why Should I think Otherwise of you?

Okay, I wasn't really criticising you, I was just saying you could probably make some cool stuff if you took the energy you exert here on the forums and apply it to other forms of writing. I wasn't trying to come across as rude or insulting, I was just making an observation. And how, in regards to learning about you, could I possibly know about your work? Your profile is private and I wouldn't have had any idea about your online content unless you had very explicitly pointed that out in your previous post. I'm not an all-knowing deity, I'm just a dude who plays Soul Calibur.
