There is a penalty for doing this. You lose some ranking points. Whether it is the same amount that you would've lost had you finished the match and lost, I'm not sure. You also get a message warning you that disconnecting will incur a penalty.
I think for people who absolutely just don't want to stay in a match, a good solution would be for NB to implement a forfeit option. It gets treated as a match loss for the forfeiter and a match win for their opponent. Everyone can then move on and hopefully find a match better suited for them.
they are not severe enough.
If the same person could rage quit multiple times in a row in an effort to preserve his win streak and still be able to find matches then clearly the penalty is not severe enough
also, you can no longer set priorities in win10 via task manager.
UT4 games do not lag my system. i'm very tempted to pull my camera into my room and record a few matches from my perspective.
i am aware that lag can and does make some unsafe things i do safe, but this holds true of any online fighting game on any system. i cannot count the times i've heard a tourney commentator make a remark like "that may work online, but not here!"
There is always a delay with online = ping between both players = less time to react (lag low for example).
Avoid wifi unless you know how to have a good one without stuttering
If you never have 60 fps -> listen to other because you are a dush
If you have unexplained framedrop -> find your PC issue
If you drop during a flashy animation on screen -> reduce screen scaling
Peace
sure. i wasent the one offering tech advice, however, so the burden of googling is not on me.
note what was said: "you can no longer set priority in task manager in win10." i have no clue how on earth you'd get "i dont know how to open task manager" from that.
in win10, they have changed where to set priorities in task manager. it is still possible i have now found, but it is diffent to how i've been doing it over the last 20+ years.
i'm defensive because everything you're suggesting i do (save the priority thing) i have done. i'm already running the game at a level so bad it looks like i'm applying a pixelate filter. i'm running at the smallest possible resolution. i've done all the ini/cfg file stuff to remove all excess strain. before i started playing lat week again, i had been taking a break from the start of season 2. before i came back, i went and did the few remaining things to increase FPS that i had not already done.
well, good on you. i cannot modify my playstyle to fit his definition of honor.
i think you're fighting to stay awake because you dont sleep. you've told me several times that the lag is not that bad, and that you've enjoyed our sets.
yes, i know they are not. however, the game is running at or near 60 at all time for me now, and i'll give you any diagnostic you want to show it's not my internet, at least not a portion of it i can control (if there is network lag it happens outside my house.)
i'll give it a shot now that i've found out about microsoft's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ with the priority controls.
are you kidding, i cannot run at that resolution! not and get more than 20 fps! but, in point of fact, my refresh rate is 60 Hrz
a given, MS sucks.
and i'm telling you ive done those, i cannot do them more. not will not, can not.
my filter is set to 3 bars, because i can indeed play in lag. in particular, there are a couple of brazillian players who have learned this recently.
the best way to ragequit for players of SoulCalibur on Windows 10 is to play in "non-full screen mode" or "windowed mode" then it need also to prepare first the ethernet card setting and moving the windows of it in the corner of your screen, to right click and prepare the arrow on desactivated, so you can ragequit in less a second during a fight even at the last limit of life bar..
its important to do the windows touch then select the ethernet windows, to let it appear on the screen while playing, then just a click without trembling or you will lost your RQ, then you can re-activated your connexion in a second, then start new search of party immediatly even if you lose points for penality but many times we don't lost..
but please do it only if the player use a very cheated caracters or cheated abusing combo, exemple you can't do any move from start to end..

alt f4 is 10x more long to restart the game, with my method you can re-active the connexion, then continue to play immediatly, of course just waiting the game find a new player.
And you're proud of this ? lol !
no, its sad i have to do it sometimes, its only when excessive abuse of cheated combo of players, exemple situation since the first second to the last, you can't do any moves, situation you can put the pad on the table and just watch, its same, some people are proud to use very cheated techniques and errors from developpers, with ragequit i stop the euphorie of them, its a good justice.
