Get a better Internet connection.
I'm not usually one to complain about what other people do in games, but the amount of bad connections I get from 3 bars + Same region is stupid. And for some reason that rule doesn't even apply since I see plenty of 1 bars at rematch screen.

Is the netcode in this game utter♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ I have a very good connection myself and don't use wireless. This is the only fighting game where the lag has been noticeably bad and often.

I notice that at low ranks i saw a lot of bad connection but when u grind a little the match are not laggy at all. Seems like beginners tend to go rankeds with wifi crap internet or fps problem.

So at what rank do you expect to see better connections?

people really reeaaalllyyy need to stop complaining at other players for THEIR connections in this game... honestly what a ridiculous sentiment that is? not sure if what you mean or not, but lots of people here on this kinda topic do... only the devs have aany responisbility for that, which yea the netcode is pretty poor for sure. hopefully it gets better with time.

but for real, people can't just "fix their net", and this is honestsly the worst community i've ever seen for people having the sheer nerve to harp on that sentiment, even some going so far as to get on peoples' profiles after a match just to cuss them out after WINNING, not even losing to them but winning...
even league of legends community isn't that crazy. ~_~ (granted that game the servers are actually not as bad as this, but y'know)

Like at least 5k/6k, ofc u will see some players who have ♥♥♥♥♥♥ internet.
At 10K and plus 1 match/20 are laggy and that all.

I'm totally agreed with you, but honestly if you're connection is good u can see REALLY easily that at low ranks people have ♥♥♥♥♥♥ connection and this thing disapear the more you grind. Never experiment lag with 15K 20K people.

Lag affects this game far more than lol...

What's the point of knowing frame data when your moves come out with a stupid amount of latency anyway. I don't mind a spike here and there. Nor do I get annoyed at a very slight delay, but the lag in this game has been really bad. In other fighters I've played I get badly laggy match 1/50 times. In this game it's more like 3/10.

I had once a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ 5FPS match with a voldo and I'm not even exaggerating. It was like this game was a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ unfluid stopmotion flick and the moves came out seconds, yes seconds after the buttons were pressed. 1 Round lasted probably as long as an entire match lasts...

It’s not just folks connection though all the time, the net code for this game is pretty horrendous. It’s nearly as bad as For Honor’s P2P at launch and the Servers are REALLY bad at holding a connection.

Oh there's lag for sure in various fights...it's taken advantage of left and right. It might be real bad, it might be lag spikes, or more subtle.

And you better believe it various people use Wifi.

This is a thing. People say you shouldn't blame people for their internet but there are ways to fix things like not using WIFI. I'm pretty sure when a match is otherwise smooth but at points it gets really bad lag spikes, that they are on WIFI.

At least, it's better, than DBFZ.

If the "lag" is a constant slowdown of the game and not random, it's probably not actually connection bandwidth but low framerate. It syncs the framerates to the game running slower. So stuff like people not turning Vsync off and not optimizing their visual settings in general screws up the game. And the person with the slow game will never even know they're making people rage.

That's interesting. Though isn't Vsync off by default?

Those who play fighting games online and then complain about the latency, are the same ilk of woebegone subnormal who live in the U.S. and complain about getting shot while waddling to the junk food drive-thru.

If you can't take the heat of lag / hot lead, get out of the kitchen / collapsing Zionist cesspit ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Where do you expect me to play fighting games? There's no FGC scene here.

I like this comment, but i have to ask; what does the word "woebegone" mean?
