Is it worth a buy for Geralt?

What it says on the title.
I'm a Witcher fanboy and I'm curious to see him in a fighting game...

Geralt isn't very stylish. However SC is worth it in its own right if you're new to the series.

Fighting games aren't really my thing but I would be willing to give this game a shot if I can play through it with one of my favorite videogame characters.
And yeah, I would be new to the series.

Honestly no, not if you aren't wanting to learn fighting games. Wait until it's on sale at a price you really really like, theres no rush if it's just for geralt playing story mode(s).

I'd say if you like witcher and you already own the game then he is worth 3.99 or whatever it is.

Dude, its like 1 Latte at starbucks, ONE.

If you are a fan and want to enjoy your endevour in FG then its a no brainer honestly.

He's in the game, not DLC, what are you talking about?

Idk i preordered deluxe I don't even know which DLC includes him, I thought Gerald and Tira are 1st DLC.
I never even touched him.

Point is if you call yourself a fan then get it, if you just "like" a franchize then I wouldn't get a whole game just to "try him" obviously.

I got this game because I loved Witcher: Wild Hunt so hope it's just as good a game.

He’s a good character but if you don’t know how to play fighting games or have no passing interest in fighting games you probably wont like this game.

No, only Tira was Day1 DLC. Second DLC character will be 2B from Nier: Automata

Geralt, like all characters in the game, has his own story mode you'll be able to beat in half an hour. Also he pops up in the separate created character centric story mode multiple times as a rival and a comrade. He's also a pretty strong character to play as against other people, so you should be able to main Geralt and be effective no problem if you care to learn how the game plays. His signature signs and moves are all there.
As a bonus, there is a character creator available in the game and it is possible to use it to create a pretty convincing Ciri with Geralt's fighting style. Other people for sure did it multiple times.
