He has some of Abyss' moves in soul charge but that's about it for this game.
I think this game wanted to hint something about your custom character being the channel between the real world and Algol, so my guess (if we get a sequel) is that we're going to get like a new timeline were things might change (some things are already retconed like in SC1 is confirmed that Xianghua was the hero that ultimatly stopped Soul Edge (ence why the sword stuck with Soul Edge is an adapted version of xianghua weapon) while here is Kilik thorugh is "malfested form" which correct me if i'm wrong but didn't they appear only AFTER fragment of soul edge scattered again after the events of the 4th chapter and thus leading to the 5th chapter where we see the effect of Malfestation ?
In the 3rd chapter , all azwel wanted was to die by using the swords, which considering the endings in SC3 backfired due to him turning in Abyss and getting defeated in the process.
In this timeline he seems more focused to prepare himself for the return of Algol , who may actually stop his plans and judging by the dialogues in the story, it may lead to a completly different story this time around. it depends on what the story will develop in Soul Calibur 7 (which in terms of cronology should take place during SC2)
Basically because 6 is an extended remake of 1, it is logical to assume 7 will be a remake of 2 and 3 combined, so you can partially spoil the plot of 7 by reading about 2 and 3. On the other hand, some things do look a little bit different already like in 3 the main idea was that Zasalamel got tired of getting reincarnated and living countless lives, so he tried to use the two swords to kill himself for good, but kinda failed and turned into a monstrosity known as Abyss in the process, while in 6 if you go through his story (Chapter 8 in particular), he tells that at one point he wanted to kill himself, but recently changed his mind due to some time bending shenanigans, like he received a thought from the future (probably from the original time-line where he tried to kill himself to no success) that made him rethink his plans and come up with a new goal. So chances are that is where the plot between the original games and the remakes will split for good.
