Reversal Edge is such a stupid feature in the game
Honestly should be removed from the game, it's such a pathetic way for complete ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ players to nibble their way through rank mode by spamming it

Actually, the more I learn about it, the better I like it. It seems to better at punishing noob button masher than helping them.

I hate it its boring I dont understand whats with game devs thinking rock paper scissors is fun
but its not really a overpowered or anything
I feel like youre just bad
Like use guard breaks/unblockables if you notice people spamming them

To be fair, that's the foundation of fighting games anyways. RE is just a simplifed version. The player using RE has the advantage, but there is still some risk involved, as you could lose the clash. Plus characters have stronger Rocks or Scissors compared to others. Adds to the mind games I feel.

And it's more like, Rock, Paper, Scissors, Lizard, Spok.

yeah but it slows down the game play where everything else in the game besides also the CEs are fast pace

Seems fast enough to me. Lots of fighters have had these "cut sceen" moments. Doesn't really feel any different than those.

A fair point, but unblockables aren't fast enough to rip through them and when your mid combo well, that's it. It's the constant side and back stepping, doing nothing all game until you get a chance to RE, really messes with my head. I'd rather get a prostate exam everyday for the rest of my life than ever see that ♥♥♥♥ again

I hate hitting it mid combo but its still rock paper scissors and you can pretty much always block it

It completely negates a lot of the mix ups in the game. Not only does it deel a good chunk of dmg on impact, it also builds meter at a ridiculous pace and rewards turtling and long range characters. If you take any string that leads to a mixup and has gap in it you can bet you're getting REed. The fact that you can hold and release it at any time just makes it the go to option to negate pressure. To use break attacks not only do you need to hard guess RE but you also need to not be in a stance or a string. You HAVE to make a hard read and step RE to get any tangable reward, which puts you at the a big risk since most fast attacks are horizontal. So the best answer is to use RE yourself, which makes sense but also really kills the pacing should both parties choose to take the route. I'm really hoping they at least remove the insane meter it builds.

Have you tried adding guard breaks to your mix ups

I only hate the meter gain with RE. Just remove that and i'm fine with it ;D

I dont think it neads to be removed jsut remade to be less frustrating.
Peronaly i think it shuld lead in to RPS minigame only under specific curcimpstances.
Right now it leads in to it if it hits and you dont block if you hit it and then block it still lands the minigame and if its fully caharged.
I think it shuld only lead in to the minigame if its fully charged and if you block more than 3 hits.

My friend and I decided to ban the use of RE and SG in the game, which makes the game more fun. When people start to abuse RE and SG, sooner or later, they will ruin a game.

RE is a ♥♥♥♥ mechanic that adds nothing of value to the game, but people aren't winning thanks to it, there are enough options to deal with it on lower end play to not be an issue.

One of the worse mechanics ever though, it's almost incredible that it made it through.
