Mitsurugi advice.....
Alright, let me start by saying i love Mitsu, he really is a blast to play, but his insanely limited options for low attacks, chains, and his inability to do ANY recovery attacks that arnt punished immediately upon him getting up is really beginning to irritate me.

So far, every character ive come across is able to keep me on the ground and punish me to death with no hope of me getting a block, attack, or roll in time for me to get up and attempt to fight.

Where am i going wrong? What am i missing?

If someone is super familiar with Mitsu i would love some advice, because im frankly struggling just to win at this point. Hes far too slow and has huge punishment windows on almost all of his low attacks, which makes blocking him a sweep.

I don't know if you have played Mitsurugi in other games, but after playing him since SC1 all the way up to SC5, here's a thought: Don't play him like you did in the other games. He's much more deliberate in this game. More of a defense character. I suggest playing more defensively, and manipulating distance and timing to get the upper hand. Be the slow poke, instead of playing him like a combo character.

This guy has the new version of mitsu pretty good.
From what I can tell (started playing Mitsu today, and got about 2500SP with him) he's a very solid character. The general gameplan is to get them to block low on wakeup, and then nail them with a 3B for the LH.

You do this with 1A, 1BB, 1B.A+B (once conditioned), etc. 236K (hold) leads into one of his many frame traps, as does 4A (hold). His whiff punish on 22/88 A is also pretty nice.

He needs some patience and precision to get in there, but once he's up dat ass, he has all the tools he needs to stay in dat ass.
