Unocking Customiziables

Do I have to play campaign to unlock more customization options or what we have when we start the game is what we get?

You can unlock a few items - so far, only underclothes, tops, bottoms, and shoes, by my recollection - with Soul Points, but other than that, yeah, I don't see anything else.

Also, Soul Points are a ♥♥♥♥♥ to get your hands on. Completing a full run in Arcade only gives you 50 for Easy, 100 for Normal, 150 for Hard, and so on, and at that point, the AI starts to get really annoying and spammy, so it's no longer worth it. You can trade in 5000 gold from Libra of Souls for 100 Soul Points in the Dhaka Currency Exchange, and you don't start making bank until you scrum up enough money to start taking expeditions. Haven't dipped into Soul Chronicles yet, so I don't know the Soul Point output there, but I know that local battles are worthless, and that you only get Soul Points from online battles if you win - which isn't gonna happen unless you're some kind of OG MLG Ranked Master Gamer.

Damn that's quite grindy. As a working guy who can only play 2-3 hours perday, i had to buy deluxe so most of it unlocked. Remember Sc3 wasn't this grindfest?

I heard you get a good amount from playing story mode, but I haven't tried yet either, only Libra of Souls.
I hope that is right, cuz everything else gives so little, you'd think they had microtransactions in mind at some point, but then forgot to revert back lol

Shouldn't have to say this but w/e I will anyways. Just use cheat engine and play the libra of souls mode find the reference for gold. After doing that just give yourself a crap ton of gold and then use the GP to SP exchange at the first town, I believe, and just keep exchanging til you have enough SP for what you want.

In Soul Chronicle mode you get 2000 for the main story and 350 per completed character story. Thats 9350 you can get very easily and fast.

I haven't tried myself yet but as said you get 2k from main story mode, that's 100 a chapter. There are several chapters that don't involve fighting at all. If you can replay for SP you can just skip the dialogue in the chapter and get an easy 100.
