Soul Calibur 3 comparison! Help me! :D

Hey guys! I've played countless hours of Soul Calibur, mostly SCIII in PS2, damn that was my childhood! The next game I biught was SCV for PS3, and damn it was a massive disappointment... the story was disappointing, the mechanics unattractive and so on.
(Played also every Tekken game after 3, and that settles it for my 3D fighting games)

SCIII for me was the DREAM! Unlockable characters, unlockable new weapon skins, character skins, the shop (!!!), chronicles of the sword, challenges, individual character endings and so on!

Could someone who has played both games, please tell me his opinion on SCVI and if it's worth 60 bucks? :D

Not if you expect something like SC3 :) This game just has online and very little single player. It's a great fighting game though. :) But unlockables is sadly not 2018 friendly. Expect DLC. :)

SC6 is similar to SC3. The main differences are that the character creator has fewer parts, the combat is smoother, and they added some cinematic mechanics.

But I should say that the Character Creator, while it doesn't have a lot of armor options, it does let you add a lot of detail to make a character unique. In SC3, custom characters looked a bit odd, but in SC6 I've got characters where the detail level matches the original roster.

Also, there aren't many unlock able anymore. Just a few armor pieces

In my eyes SC3 is better for single player content, mostly because of Chronicles of sword.

SC6 has an amazing sound ambiance and a very polished gameplay but shines through multiplayer. Libra is a fun adventure but doesn't have RTS or geopolitical drama story. Characters story mode is an alternance of fights and visual novel, so it can be hard if you hate visual novel. There is no cinematic, it's a very "textual game".

There are also almost no unlockables, except museum text and some CAS parts, and one character Inferno, so not a lot.

Graphically, SC6 is beautiful on PC because thanks to some players we can remove blur on backgrounds. But we don't have animated backgrounds, no moving raft or turning clock, etc.

For single player, it's probably not the best soul calibur. But it's the only modern Soul Calibur on PC, we are already lucky to get one on PC. It's still also the most beginner-friendly intuitive fighting game ! (And the most interesting one because of different weapons range...)

=> It worths 60€ only if you enjoy multiplayer, are not allergic to visual novel, or if you starve from soul calibur serie and need this sort of food urgently.

My childhood too! I was born in the late 90's. First fighting game I have ever played! I will say even with the deluxe edition it is not worth the money in it's current state sadly. SC1-5 have had double the content in terms of single player gameplay and creation than this game currently has. I honestly was very dissapointed in what there was to offer.. I got around 22 hours of gameplay before I had completed everything there was to offer in this title.. I was hoping a 20th anniversary was going to be similar to a Tekken Tag Tournament with every character from all the series bundled up into one massive roster.. One of my favourite parts of SC3 was the Chronicles of the Sword and the Libra of Souls they have in this game is nothing compared to that.. Again I was dissapointed. And I really love customization, this game cut the customization in half and it's extremely bareboned compared to previous titles. Before I could spend an hour on one character. Here, I can spend 10 minutes and not be satisfied with how anything looks other than the set armors from the main characters with a slight recolor. I posted my review and I still play the game as I love the combat still but it's negative just because they didn't execute it as I would hope they would have. The meaty second story was more vegan.
