I haven't noticed much tracking issues outside of Yoshimitsu and Seung Mina, which are characters that I do think are a little bit overtuned at the moment, but Taki doesn't need tracking, she's always been a heavy hitter and giving her tracking is overkill, and idk it's still a little early to tell if Raphael does need an adjusted to his tracking on some verts.
SC6's balance is pretty good compared to 5 and 4 tbqh.SC4 had the abomination that was Hilde and V had aPat and Algol. Nobody in 6 outside of how safe Yoshimitsu seems really BUSTED busted like those.
Good to know I wasn't alone in this.
I get you on Taki, it's not so much about having ez mode tracking straight to your opponent say with a 66B, it has to do with the fact that if you launch a 3 hit attack, for example, chances are she's gonna randomly just go in the wrong direction because the opponent sidestepped.
And i'm not saying they dodged it, it's worst than that, she literally goes in another random direction insted of continuing in a straight line, at which point you're in for a severe counter which is completely out of your hands.
There are a few really questionnable moveset changes, if you look at some characters presentations it basically sums up into "they lose ALL this, and they get useless fluff you're never gonna use in competitive setting anyway in exchange".
And on the opposite side of the spectrum some characters (like Nightmare's close up game) were given tools to complement their weaknesses.
Completely understand that, but that's actually an issue with the game itself. Sophitia has similar issues with AA>A and BB>BB where if you input them too fast, the follow up will queue up regardless of if you stopped hitting buttons at that point or not and yes that follow up on BB can more than often lead to you massively whiffing it if the opponent is already expecting it (or being GI'd) but I'm not going to say she needs tracking because of a couple moves that end up in situations like that. Sophitia and Taki are naturally disruptive characters because of how quick they can attack AND have high damage to boot.
Not saying that move has to be changed, it's more along the lines of there's a time and place to use said moves, it's nowhere near the issues Raphael has atm.
What's the point in playing Siegfried if Nightmare does what he does better, safer and has a mechanic to make his moves even safer? None, they are just different characters and are fun to play.
I do agree that Raphael's kit atm doesn't make much sense, but he hasn't really been experimented with. Like for example, his 3B used to be his greatest tool to get into Prep and now it's a launcher (????) and atm it feels like you can't even do anything from that launcher. Best thing I can say really is put in some lab work with him or wait until someone figures something out, I remember Aeon in SCV had the same issue where everyone said he was the worst character in the game and then some people found some pretty abusable tech with him and he became a good character, I feel like Raph is in that state atm.
Ah I see now. Raphael main is salty about losing.
Salty about losing? More like salty of his character being purposedly bad in nearly every sequel he's in lol.
Gotcha, on the same line, what would i give for a few animation cancels
Definitely salty about my main getting worse every game since 2.
Yeah, I remember dominating my friends with Raphael in 2.
idk what they did in 6 didnt bought it yet
Reminds me of SF 4 days d: On a side note, you're really into FGs!
Yeah, SC has always been my fave series though.
