Why is this game banned in my region (Saudi Arabia)?

First, I want to say that bought this game on PS4 but I imagine I would be facing the same issue if I bought it on Steam before the ban hit.

The game was up for purchase for approx 1 day after release on both Steam and PS4 store. I bought the game along with the season pass. Now after the ban hit I can still play the game but I won't be able to download my legally owned season pass items when they are released. This issue happened before with another Bandai Namco title Dragon Ball FighterZ on the PS4 only as its Steam version is still available for purchase for some reason.

You can't keep putting games for purchase then pull them out and lock people out of the season pass without providing a valid reason.

Exactly, they wouldn't, a developer would never want to ban their own product, same for the store that gets the cut from the sales. This is undoubtedly on the government, it's not even a question.

People here are missing the point;

Yes some games are banned for one reason or another and Steam/PS4 will not even show them on the Saudi store. What OP is asking why 2 games from Bandai Namco have been available for pre-order then after few days of releasing them they got removed abruptly.

You either have the game on the store or not. Letting people pre-order then removing the game abruptly is what in question here.

On a side note, incase of Dragonball FighterZ the removal of this game from PS4 is absurd, not only the game is available for purchase on steam, Dragonball Xenoverse 1&2 (which have the same world and characters as FighterZ) are not banned or removed from PS4 store
