Why is this game banned in my region (Saudi Arabia)?

First, I want to say that bought this game on PS4 but I imagine I would be facing the same issue if I bought it on Steam before the ban hit.

The game was up for purchase for approx 1 day after release on both Steam and PS4 store. I bought the game along with the season pass. Now after the ban hit I can still play the game but I won't be able to download my legally owned season pass items when they are released. This issue happened before with another Bandai Namco title Dragon Ball FighterZ on the PS4 only as its Steam version is still available for purchase for some reason.

You can't keep putting games for purchase then pull them out and lock people out of the season pass without providing a valid reason.

I bought the game and the season pass. Regardless of the state of the game (banned or unbanned) I should have access to what my purchase entitle me to. I could easily make a game with a season pass, promise a DLC a year later then "pull" or "claim the game is banned" then never deliever on said DLC content. What Steam or PS4 going to do? It is as you said Steam and PS4 have no legal obligiations to secure and make sure transactions done on their platform deliver to their users as agreed on in the purchased items description

Why use Steam as a digital store platform if it is not a secure and reliable platform? Why not use those Gray Market sites that some mentioned in this thread.
