I mean, there's been some deaths in the story, Geralt, God of war and probably others had sex in their respective games. But they are not associated with that primarily. Goblin Slayer isn't a particularly good warrior, even in-universe he struggles against fairly average human warriors and he can't beat stronger goblins without a bit of trickery. There's no way Goblin Slayer could even match anyone in the Soul Caliber series.

This is exactly why i like Goblin Slayer, im just a bit too tired with the i'm op and no one can best me trope. Besides its just bias to compare the two anyway, they are in no way should be compared. Guts is a big guy with a big sword who is literally a berserker archetype while Goblin slayer is a smaller, far more calm, strategist. Theres nothing to compare when theres nothing similar to compete against. I like both anime because there's barely any dark fantasy anime that paints a brutal world.

"is why you should hate them"
However it also underlines certain details about the world

2.They still care about their children you can see this in the fact that they hid them away
This means that they are more than mindless beasts they have values and reasons to fight
The Goblin slayer himself states that the children will grow up smarter and with a vandetta if left alive

3. The Goblin Slayer himself is no self rightous hero his acts are Just as bad as the Goblins he's willing to genocide them regardless of age or what they do because they are Goblins even knowing that the Goblins have certain human qualities

It sets the tone of the world pretty perfectly as far as the anime goes the only thing i can complain about is the innitial adventurers not being givin their bakstories for the viewer to know them as they weren't just a bunch of nobodies they all had very promising futures and people who care about them but very basic mistakes makes fools of even the very best

1) Yeah ok. So you're saying goblins who RAPE female women BRUTALLY are justified in doing so cause they need to survive. Cool.

2) And obviously some animals care about their children because they want to ENSURE their genes pass on. Doesn't make them human like us. Some animals NATURALLY care about their own.

3) GOBLIN'S RAPE HUMAN FEMALES. And Goblin Slayer killing them all is bad why? Do goblins contribute anything good to society instead of killing and raping innocents? I don't think so. The goblins shown so far are just shown as savage creatures. Goblin Slayer is perfectly justified in killing them all.

And yeah I already SAID it sets the tone for the anime already.

1.That is exactly what I am saying regardless of how you or I feel about their acts they need to survive somehow and that appears to be the only way humanity has done more for less and in that world thats just how things are until they are all dead or some other great change could happen

2. They have a social hierarchy albeit primitive in nature they are cunning learn from their mistakes and can trick and trap humans for their very existance heck they are born from humans themselves they aren't that different

3. The point is Goblin slayer isn't a good guy from the goblins perspective he is as detestable to them as they are to him and the show doesn't sugarcoat it especially with the way he kills them thruout the series and how mercilessly and effectivly he does it says alot about his own morality

The show pretty decently shows the contrast between them and how they are practically opposite sides of a coin both capable of very cruel feats to do what they feel must be done

That being said most people just look at that one scene and throw a fit purposly ignoring everything else that are plain as day

People have been arguing about this terrible generic af fantasy anime for weeks now since the episode1 has big shock value scenes tacked onto it. This is just more of what's been going on on youtube etc for a while now.

And ye, I read the manga for this noise after all the "but it's just ep1!"-talks. Not really even spoilers: the episode1 stuff happened only for the sake of baiting people into talking about this thing and watching more. Goblin Slayer is about as riveting and deep as Fairy Tail, except the grating fanservice is more hardcore than softcore.
