Did they say with the customization we can re-create old characters?

Not sure where it was said, or if it was a video but did they said we could re-create old soul calibur characters or their appearances from previous games? Does that mean we have full customization on the base characters? Id like to change the hairstyle for some of the characters as well as recreate armor from soul calibur 2 and 3, I really want to make the Nightmare appearance from Soul Calibur 2.

There are some armor pieces from previous titles but I don't know how much. You can customize the base roster but if it is like previous titles it isn't full customization, and AFAIK you cannot change their bodies or face, hair included. It was only armor/clothes and color. It might be possible to create a pretty close recreation of previous version if not exactly.

Hair type and hair color could be changed on original roster in SC IV if I don't remember incorrectly, but you meybe meant that recreating old ones might lack that hairstyle in the selection?

I actually think it's odd that we don't get to see more of the creation system, as that is one of their main selling points for this one. (iMO)

I know color could be changed but I didn't think you could change style either but I may very well be wrong about that. It has been some time since I played 4 and I only messed around with the Basic Roster customization option a few times in 4 (which I didn't end up keeping because they took space), and not once in 5. I much prefer making my own characters.

It is a bit weird, but they're still making and polling for the created character thing, so whenever they are going to show the Wizard Lizard off we should get to see some more in-depth CC stuff.

Honestly they should have the devs create a character to the best of their ability to show what the feature can deliever, no stupid stuff, actually make a badass looking character.

That is my main wish too. So far we have seen 100 pink afros. I really hope it will not turn out like Tekken 7 *gimmick' customizations.. like a shower on the head.and a plasmarifle, takes away immersion so much! (for me)

Soul Calibur 2 didn't have a CC, 3 was the first one in the series to feature it and alternate colors.

Yeah it's sad that a Lizardman got almost 50% of the votes, as I don't think they have access to as much 'normal' clothing due to.. being a Lizardman, with huge odd legs?

I'm gladly proven wrong if they pull off something interesting with what they got for him, and withdraw my moanings about the choice of race.

also it seems like all the main characters outfits were used in the create a soul, so you can copy the exact base outfits from the main characters, which makes me think thats the reason why they didn't have unique alternate costumes, people would just be making their own....♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ I hope they jump into the modding scene, unlimited replayability if they go that route, I really hope they release weapon souls from past Soul Calibur characters, Id love for A soul of Hilde.

I have a speculation about Lizard Man, I don't believe we will get him as a character, HOWEVER I believe we will get Aeon, who is a wing'ed Lizard Man, not the same as the orignal, because fans seem to be asking for him like crazy.
