I bought Soul Calibur Today, instead of MK11

I went to a different website today to buy a key, and I ended up buying Soul Calibur VI on Steam for 68% off. I was planning on purchasing MK11 as it's my favorite fighting franchise.

They completely blew it. How they can make so many terrible business decisions in a single game, I'll never know. I can deal with the males looking like strippers and the females completely covered up head to tow. I can deal with the devs insulting the previous MK entries and talking down to fans.

However, I draw the line where you have fatalities locked behind loot boxes. I can deal with some microtransactions put in the game, but this is where you lose me as a customer. People can only take so much before they snap. ♥♥♥♥ you NetherRealm Studios, I'm purchasing this game today instead.

I hope to see you all online at some point, I'm happy to join this community. Thanks for having me and don't whoop my butt too much. XD

Play and play a lot. Do not let the legacy players opinions on the boards push you off. We have a habit of highlighting more negative things than positive ones. Take that with a grain of salt and enjoy a fantastic game in a fantastic series. Even with some things not being what some of us wanted the to be it is still a strong addition to anyones library. Hope to see you out there

I haven't played since Soulcalibur IV, and the I'm most familiar with Soulcalibur 2... It's very nostalgic to play this game, I usually don't pick more then one fighting game to focus on, and I'm very happy with my selection.

The music, atmosphere, and character creation are absolutely excellent. The DLC seems great too, it has characters I love like 2b and geralt. MK11 didn't even have any costume destruction to my dismay, but this game shows damage done to players.

I won't be pushed away by players, this game just seems too much fun and i'm sad I didn't purchase it earlier.

Enjoy. I can say that this game has been my favorite fighting game so far. Props for sticking it to predatory practices of lootboxes and microtransactions that WB put in MK11.

In MK11, it will cost you $6440 to buy every skin in the game without grinding, assuming you have perfect luck and are checking on the store every 6-8 hours.

SC6 is not a terrible game. It has some pros, but it really does fall short of almost every mark when compared to the previous games 1-5. I'm trying to put together an in-depth review and comparison video about it. Even though I don't like it as much as the previous games, I still play it because I love soul calibur. It's a very different kind of fighting game when compared to games like MK or SF. I hope you have fun ^_^
