SC6 or DOA6?
Thinking of grabbing a fighting game that I can invest a lot of time into. Not sure if SC6 is better or not. Pretty sure DOA has more in-depth combat. Any recommendations? Kinda like the aesthetics of both games. I just don't know if Ill be annoyed collecting costumes in DOA

If you're a fan of the SC franchise then go for it. Game is fun. You'll still have plenty of players in rank to play with. Single player mode isn't bad either.

Wouldn't necessarily say I'm a fan. I just liked Link from SC2 and Ezio from SC5. That's it. I don't even think Ezio was any good. Link however; was a very good character

I have always prefered SC to DoA but then again I love Character Creation in most games which this series has had since 3. SC6 also has a decent length story mode for custom characters and a shorter one for every other. This SC has some of the best gameplay in the series, rivaling SC2.

I would suggest to get the Core Fighter pack for DoA6 it's free and lets you use a few characters, good way to at least get a feel for the game. You may want to wait a little bit more as well, summer sale isn't that far away and you can bet at least one of not both will go on sale.

What do you like most, armed or unarmed combat? Fantasy or somewhat realistic? A dying playerbase or a dead playerbase?

Be sure to have a PC above the recommended spec if you go for DOA6 or it will automatically nerf your settings.
Anyway: both.

DOA6 is deeper DBFZ but lets be honest games selling point are waifu's.
SC6 have its flaws and it is sign that golden age of Soul Calibur is long ended but is still better than DOA.

The same in Soul Calibur. Doa and SC have the most sexualized female characters in 3D fighters. Just look at girls in SC6.... look at Ivy and tell me they dont play the sex card. Also all DLC characters until now are female (and 4th one will propably also be).
