No, I know about the PC drop off of fighting games.
This one though is much more significant then many of other similar games.
Tekken, SFV, even DBZ all have over 1000 more concurrent players.
SC4's all time peak was 14k and now only months later it's averaging 300.
Tekken never approached being under 1000 and it's peak was about the same.
I think this is a fair question about this game.
SC6 is definitely the best entry in the series so far, and I think the more competitive exposure it gets the better off it will be for it. Naturally the numbers are way lower than launch though, fighting games have no staying power for people who aren't dedicated to them.
compare to other fighting game releases on PC that are not tekken, SF or DBZ. take KOF. GG. BB. SC6 does not stand out at all compared to those numbers.
and again, these topics have been coming up since launch. they are stale.
In summary, it is a game that requires above average time to learn and punishes hard when you don't. Perhaps people are opting for "lighter" experiences.
For me it is great though.
